Meet Aaron
“I found Aaron a couple months ago through my guitar teacher because I was expressing to him that I really wanted to learn how to song write and have music make sense. I'm really good at coming up with riffs, but I'm not so good at like putting things together and writing lyrics and getting into that kind of creative flow. Working with Aaron, I was able to become comfortable with not having everything perfect and just being okay with humming a few bars to myself and recording it or writing ideas down in an old book and saving it for later. I think sometimes people who love music, we just want to get everything right and have it be perfect and sit down on the laptop with the recording software and make everything great. But with Aaron, I learned that it's okay not to be perfect and just get the ideas down when they come to you and keep the flow going and we'll come back to it later. And I'm really looking forward to continuing my work with him. It's going to be awesome.”
Steven Wynen“I personally believe that the possibility of making your own music/songs while having a family or a full time job at the same time is fantastic. Very often one gets lost in the middle of all the real life mess... and just gives up. For this reason managing time and creativity is absolutely crucial for all the people who are in a situation similar to mine. I guess there are many out there :-) Very often I see my creativity as somehow overwhelming... I mean, I am full of ideas but I don't know how to translate those ideas into something real. (I am also amazed by the fact that in principle you can go from writing lyrics, to the creation and production of your songs with a daw, to publishing/distributing your music digitally. And anybody in the world can listen to your music. It's a long journey, I know. But you can do it if you have a plan and if you know what you need to get there.) Aaron’s work is relevant to me because it puts together the pieces. Pieces are: write lyrics, use the software, create an arrangement on a daw and have your song done. Having a rough mix done is a dream for many of us, I believe. If you have a song like the one I have on my channel, just with voice and acoustic guitar, you listen to it forever when you drive your car on your way back home waiting for somebody to tell you how to transform it into a real song anybody can listen to. You don't need to be a professional producer to publish your own music, and you can always improve over time.”
Martino Olivo“Thanks to Aaron Cloutier's coaching sessions, I figured out how to tap into my emotional self and figured out how to manifest it well. (Max’s thoughts on working one on one with Aaron in a private songwriting coaching session.) It’s easy for the less virtuous sides of this (subject matter for an EP) to assert themselves so I think what this ends up being now…I can reframe this record as a six songs of low hanging fruit with one final say on the matter that, balances the scale single handedly with the positive aspect, which is an interesting way to put it as well. And I'm, I already feel better now that I've like, I don't know that I would have reframed the record in that way without this conversation. So I'm already getting value. That one, that one might not have come to me on my own. (Image courtesy of Mr Silverberg Photography)”
Maxwell Feinstein“As a fellow music teacher that has worked with Aaron for almost 10 years, I have seen firsthand what ingredients make a teacher great. Aaron has ALL the right ingredients for music educational excellence. Experience, passion, innovation and a drive to be better everyday. Anyone can have knowledge and training of the core fundamentals of music but making meaningful connections with students is how students best learn. Aaron has both skill sets in his toolkit and I highly recommend him for students of all ages. Engaging and effective!”
